Upfront Shipping
Effective Date: March 31, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using any service provided by Upfront Shipping, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.

2. Scope of Services

Upfront Shipping provides courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:

  • Shipping from USA to Jamaica

  • Air and Sea Freight Services

  • Package handling and warehousing

  • Assisted online shopping (where applicable)

  • Pickup and delivery services

  • Delivery via third-party courier services where necessary

Upfront Shipping reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.

3. Shipping Schedule

Upfront Shipping operates on a weekly shipping schedule. All delivery timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Customs processing

  • Carrier schedules

  • Weather conditions

  • Inspections or unforeseen circumstances

We are not liable for delays beyond our control.

4. Service Areas

Upfront Shipping services locations across Jamaica.

Deliveries outside standard service areas may be completed via third-party couriers at the customer’s expense.

5. Responsibility, Risk & Liability

All shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.

Upfront Shipping assumes limited liability for loss, damage, delay, or errors related to shipments.

Responsibility begins when the package is received at our warehouse and ends when the package is delivered or handed over to a third-party carrier.

We are not responsible for:

  • Vendor or seller errors

  • Incorrect information provided by customers

  • Packages lost before reaching our warehouse

  • Delays or damages caused by third-party carriers

6. Packaging & Fragile Items

Upfront Shipping is not responsible for damage caused by improper or insufficient packaging.

Fragile items including:

  • Electronics

  • Glass

  • Liquids

  • Cosmetics

  • Breakable goods

are shipped entirely at the customer’s risk.

7. Prohibited & Restricted Items

Customers are responsible for ensuring all shipments comply with local and international laws.

Prohibited items include:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Explosives or hazardous materials

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Pornographic or obscene materials

  • Perishable food items

  • Live animals

  • Cash, cheques, or negotiable instruments

Any prohibited items may be confiscated or disposed of without refund. Upfront Shipping assumes no liability for penalties, fines, or seizures.

8. Customs, Duties & Fees

Customers are responsible for all:

  • Customs declarations

  • Duties and taxes

  • Government fees

Upfront Shipping is not liable for customs delays, inspections, or seizures.

9. Assisted Online Shopping (If Applicable)

For assisted shopping services:

  • Full payment must be made in advance

  • Customers must confirm item details before purchase

  • Payments are non-refundable once purchase is made

Upfront Shipping is not responsible for vendor-related issues such as incorrect items, sizing, delays, or cancellations.

10. Payments

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash

  • Bank transfer

  • Online payment

All payments must be completed before shipment processing begins. Payments are non-refundable once processing starts.

11. Claims & Complaints

All claims must be submitted within 48 hours of receiving your package.

Claims must be made via:

Supporting documents such as receipts, invoices, and photos are required.

WhatsApp messages do not constitute official claims.

12. Storage & Uncollected Packages

  • Packages must be collected within 7 days of notification

  • Storage fees may apply ($500 JMD per day after 7 days)

  • Packages uncollected after 30 days may be disposed of or auctioned

Customers remain responsible for any outstanding fees.

13. Cancellations

Cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours prior to scheduled service.

Cancellation fees may apply. Upfront Shipping reserves the right to cancel services at its discretion.

14. Amendments

Upfront Shipping reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Upfront Shipping and the customer regarding all services provided.
